Headwaters Park Book
The history of Fort Wayne is deeply rooted in its connection with our 3 rivers: the Maumee, St. Mary's, and St. Joseph. However, their meeting place served as a frequent flood plain. We declined to set up permanent settlements at this area but it hosted many important events. The circus grounds of the 1850s and the first night baseball game of 1883 just to name a couple. Headwaters Park transformed our city and created a home for our Three Rivers Festival, concerts, and a beautiful park. This 128 page book explores the history and includes some great pictures.
